What is THICKER HORSE PASTURE?
THICKER HORSE PASTURE is a blend of super vigorous species (SVS) of microbes that process lost and locked up organic and chemical nutrients 500% more than typical soil microbes.
THICKER HORSE PASTURE is a complimentary blend of naturally occurring microorganisms that restore soil that has been damaged by overuse of chemical fertilizers which build up in the soil.
THICKER HORSE PASTURE is proprietary and specially designed to enhance the soil, to boost root health bringing vigor back to the plants they support.
THICKER HORSE PASTURE is very concentrated! You only need 6 ounces per acre. There are over 20 million cfu (colony forming units) in each and every ml of THICKER HORSE PASTURE. After being mixed with our bio-stimulant, this powerful blend will explode in population upon contact with the soil. Each microbe can become several million within a few weeks.
In addition to our proprietary blend, we add a high quality liquid Mycorrhizal fungi to our microbial brew. Mycorrhizal fungi stimulate, and extend a different set of roots on each and every plant they come in contact with.
How does THICKER HORSE PASTURE differ from fertilizer?
Fertilizer works only on the plants and what you see above the ground. Fertilizers effects last only a short period of time and fertilizers have many adverse effects on soil health. THICKER HORSE PASTURE works in the soil strata to invigorate the roots of the plants. This process continues day and night all season long. The microbes will actually seek out unused nutrients in the soil and make them available to the plants through its roots.
How long does THICKER HORSE PASTURE work?
The microbes start working after the soil temperatures reach 45˚ F and will work all spring, summer and fall until the soil temperatures come back down to that level. If you are in an area where the soil never freezes, the microbes will work all year.
What happens to the microbes when my soil freezes?
If your ground freezes hard several inches down, it will adversely affect the microbes and you will need to re-apply THICKER HORSE PASTURE each year.
Will I need to apply the THICKER HORSE PASTURE every year?
You will need to apply THICKER HORSE PASTURE annually for 3 to 5 years. If you are grazing livestock on the land and not tilling or continuously harvesting hay, you will probably be able to stop using THICKER HORSE PASTURE and monitor your results. Yearly applications are strongly recommended if you are tilling or removing a lot of hay from your ground. Apply immediately after cutting and baling, when grass is at its shortest.
Will THICKER HORSE PASTURE work on my soil type?
THICKER HORSE PASTURE consists of 18 different microbial strains and 3 fungi that are effective in building soil conditions. We chose a diverse set of super vigorous microbes so as to have several suited for each unique soil environment.
Why are there 18 different microbial strains in THICKER HORSE PASTURE?
These specific 18 different microbial strains were selected to find because each strain was conditioned to make available different nutrients to the plant (i.e. nitrogen, phosphorus, calcium, etc.) As stated above different strains will help different soil types.
If I have used fertilizer, both chemical and manure, how will THICKER HORSE PASTURE work?
Both natural and synthetic fertilizer leave a lot of unused product in the soil, often up to 70%. These nutrients, in their current form, are unavailable to the roots. THICKER HORSE PASTURE works to release these nutrients and make them available to the roots. It’s like an untapped gold mine.
How long does it take after applying THICKER HORSE PASTURE to see results?
This depends on your soil temperature and rainfall. Typically, you will see results within 30 to 60 days. However, much of what we do is not seen as we balance the soil ph and create a healthier soil, restoring it back to its original condition.
How soon after receiving THICKER HORSE PASTURE do I need to use it?
You will have a minimum of 6 months of shelf life. If you are able to keep the product at “room temperature” you can expect the product to last 8 months.
How do I apply THICKER HORSE PASTURE?
THICKER HORSE PASTURE is a concentrated liquid. The product needs to be diluted in water and activated with the bio-stimulant before applying to the soil. THICKER HORSE PASTURE is best applied with a sprayer with 10-15 gallons of water per acre. Pivot irrigation systems work equally as well
If I am applying the THICKER HORSE PASTURE to a “standing crop” will that impact the effectiveness of the product?
It may, the product works in the soil strata and needs to get to the soil level as soon as possible. If applying to a thick, tall foliage, use more water to move the product to the soil. If applying to a pasture or hay environment, apply early in the height of your grass/hay rotation. We must be washed down into the root zone.
What is the best time to apply THICKER HORSE PASTURE?
The perfect soil will always need to maintain a high population of self-sustaining microbes. The ideal time to apply is anytime your grasses are not dormant and the soil is 45˚F or above, however any time during the growing season THICKER HORSE PASTURE will have a positive effect on your soil health.
Do I need to get soil tests before I apply THICKER HORSE PASTURE?
No. However, soil samples will help you discover if you have any shortages of the major nutrients. It can also tell you the level of your organic matter. Knowing your soil PH is also helpful.
Do I need to remove my livestock from my fields when applying THICKER HORSE PASTURE?
THICKER HORSE PASTURE is “organic” and extremely safe and non-toxic. Therefore the product is safe for your livestock and you may leave them on during and after enhancing your fields with the product.
Can I over or under apply the THICKER HORSE PASTURE?
No, the product will not “burn” your crops in any way if you over-apply. If you under-apply you will not see optimum results. The recommended rate of application will give you the best results.
Your crops are only as healthy as your soil will allow.
We are a root stimulant and soil conditioner. Therefore our product must be soaked into the root zone, approximately 2” deep. This application usually requires 15 to 20 gallons of water per acre. Our product often gets a 300% increase in root volume within 60 days, which is important because more roots enable the plant to absorb more moisture and nutrients, allowing increased growth.
We are 100% organic and natural, this is important as regulations restrict chemical fertilizer and manure use. Our product is more efficient at processing unavailable, wasted and locked-up nutrients in your soil by:
· Populating soil with 20 million CFUs per ml with super vigorous bacteria that process at a greater level than typical soil microbes.
· Stimulating dramatic root growth for improved drought tolerance and increase nutrient uptake.
· Using Mycorrhizae fungi to extend the root system and reach deeper into the soil to absorb additional phosphorous.
What are Super Vigorous Species (SVS)?
SVS are soil microbes that have survived and been extracted from toxic cleanup sites. These toxic environments caused the few surviving soil bacteria to adapt and become super bacteria, able to do the work of processing nutrients in the soil at a much greater rate than their traditional bacterial cousins. The adage – “what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger,” is precisely true when describing the forced environmental evolution of microbes.
